The Bad Apple Incident's Conclusion: Think, Mister President

Hakurei Reimu kicked open a side door into the Oval Office, the American president sat at the Resolute Desk standing up in surprise. "Sit back down!" Reimu shouted with fury as she marched into the room, slamming the door behind her.

"You cann-" began the president in protest.

"I said to sit back down!" yelled Reimu, stopping opposite the Resolute Desk to the president. She was fuming, a single scratch under her left eye being allowed to bleed freely, dripping blood down her cheek and onto her clothes. The president slowly lowered himself onto his chair, intimidated by the girl in front of him, despite her being shorter in height. "Now, explain yourself," Reimu offered with a somewhat calmer voice, "I want some answers. Why am I here? Why am I in this world?"

"We have no idea," honestly answered the president, "Just more than three hours ago, people and locations such as yourself, seemingly from other dimensions, immediately appeared all over the planet. We are just as confused as you are about the reasons between your appearance. It appears many people are calling today Doomsday, as the 21st of December 2012 dawned over the East just as the phenomenon happened."

Reimu had no interest in his explanation, "Where is my home country? Where is Gensokyo?"

"It appears as though Gensokyo has been split into pieces, with parts being spread across the world including in Hawaii, Brazil and The Ivory Coast." The list of territories flew over Reimu's head as she had no clue of the world's geography.

"Where is my shrine, the Hakurei Shrine?" demanded Reimu.

"I am sorry but we have yet to find it," he admitted, "With more time, we will definitely be able to find it for you."

"That is what your cronies told me," growled Reimu, "Before they shot at me."

The president knew exactly what she was talking about, "I am sorry it had to come to that, Miss Hakurei," he apologised, "But it was deemed that your behaviour was threatening."

"Did your subordinates not tell you the full story?" grunted Reimu, her calmness rapidly fading away, "Actually, you know what? Start from the beginning. Tell me what your plans were."

The president gulped, "As the President of the United States of America, I have a responsibility to protect my people," he began.

"From what?" growled Reimu, pushing the president to the point, "From what?"

"... From dangerous... newcomers," the president answered, trying his best to keep his cool. He was fully aware he was treading in dangerous territory. This was Reimu's first meeting with the term 'newcomer', though it was a perfect description for herself and any other people or creatures brought into this world.

"Like who?" grunted Reimu, unimpressed and gradually getting more and more impatient with the president's slow talking.

"For example, newcomers with bad intentions, dangerous or unstable powers or in short, may cause unnecessary harm to any native of this world." Similarly, this was Reimu's first encounter with the term 'native', though, again, it was an adept reference to the original people already living on this planet before the newcomers' arrivals.

"Huh-uh," noted Reimu, raising an eyebrow, "And the category I fit in?"

"Newcomers with dangerous powers," claimed the president, stated in an oddly simpler manner than Reimu expected, "I believe you were in New York when you were met by some of my diplomats, an hour ago, offering you free luxury lodgings in this country. If you had accepted, you could live in luxury while we could find your shrine for you."

"And because I actually wanted to find my shrine personally?" inquired Reimu, once again pushing the president for an answer.

"The orders I gave to my diplomats were to let you leave if you did not want to move into our provided accommodation. For their own safety."

"And then what happened?" coaxed Reimu, placing both her hands threateningly on the Resolute Desk.

"And then..." the president paused for a moment, scared of the minefield he was stepping on, "And then... a nearby American resident insulted you..."

"And then what?" continued Reimu with agitation, slowly leaning over the desk, waiting for his response.

"And then... you- you walked threateningly towards the native."

This drove Reimu over the edge. She told hold of the president's shirt aggressively with both hands, "I did not walk threateningly!" she shouted at his face, "What would you do if someone insulted you?! Go up and talk with them like an honourable citizen, right?" The president was being pulled over the desk and was forced to put both his hands on the desk to keep his balance and dignity. "I walked towards the guy and then your servants shoot at me with metal sticks!"

"Guns," corrected the president, gasping.

"I don't care what they're called!" yelled Reimu, "You were going to kill me!"

"My diplomats were not authorised to use lethal weaponry," struggled the president, "They are equipped with non-lethal rubber bullets." Reimu knew nothing about rubber bullets.

"Oh yeah?! Then what about this cut on my face, Mister President? I got it from one of your flying metal birds! I almost died! And then your birds were firing long metal rods and you had large wheeled shooting beetles on the ground!"

The president noticed Reimu knew nothing about aircraft, missiles nor tanks. "It was because you were a risk to our national security by attacking American personnel."

"Because you threatened me first!" screamed Reimu, "I am lost. I have lost my home, my possessions, my friends and find myself here, where I am considered a danger for acting normally?! I admit I have dangerous powers but out there I was fearing for my life! Every passing second was a miracle to still be alive. And now, here I am, having grounded your entire military and security with only a scratch, holding onto the very man that controls everything in this country. You made an enemy out of the wrong person, Mister President. Because of you, I have no faith in you, the United States of America or any natives whatsoever. I will do what I want, without your 'help'. Give me your country!"

"What!" cried the president in disgust, "I will never surrender the United States of America to anybody!" He attempted to stand up straight but could not even match Reimu's strength. "We are and will always be the land of liberty and of the free. I-"

"Think about what you are saying, Mister President," threatened Reimu, "Think about who is currently holding onto you. Think about what I have already done to your army and your country. Think about what I could do to your beloved country if you were not around..."

Reluctantly, the president came to a decision.

Less than an hour later, a red flag with a ying-yang symbol was raised at the White House, the United States of America abolished. Less than four hours after Hakurei Reimu's arrival in the real world, she was a renewed person, the distrusting empress of the newly rebirthed Gensokyo.

By the end of Doomsday, Gensokyo would end up covering a third of the Earth's surface, stopped only by Hatsune Miku's Yamaha Kingdom and Suzumiya Haruhi's North High Colony.
To be accompanied by TKK: Think, Mister President.

:diny: What is The Three Kingdoms? :diny:

:iconthethreekingdoms:#TheThreeKingdoms's feature presentation, The Three Kingdoms, or TTK, is a ongoing story written by ~dra2k4.

The Three Kingdoms starts with the advent of Doomsday, an event that breaks the barrier between imagination and reality, throwing characters and locations from all kinds of sources into the real world. Within hours, The Bad Apple Incident sends the entire planet into conflict.
By the end of the day, three kingdoms controlled the entire world, separated by barriers:
:iconmikuplz: Hatsune Miku's Yamaha Kingdom
:iconreimuplz: Hakurei Reimu's Gensokyo
:iconharuhiplz: Suzumiya Haruhi's North High Colony

One year later, Haruhi decides to to start an invasion, triggering far more than she wanted.

This fiction is canon in The Three Kingdoms universe and may make more sense after reading Chapter 0 - Dear Diary. Note that this chapter is a prequel to the main series and occurs a year before the first arc.

:iconthe-hakurei-shrine:#The-Hakurei-Shrine's Spring Contest inspired me to chase down one of The Three Kingdom's first concrete concepts, Reimu's annexation of the United States of America.
While I never thought of a conversation until now, Reimu barging into the Oval Office and 'diplomatically' taking over the US has played out in my mind a lot.
For those of you who follow The Three Kingdoms may feel this is essentially a repeat of things already mentioned so sorry about that.

For your information, the president in the story here would be Barrack Obama because of the time period that it takes place in. He was president in 2012.
